With Globus Connect, your laptop (or other local machine) can be part of the Globus Online cloud!
Globus Connect allows you to use Globus Online to transfer files to and from your local machine (such as a campus server, desktop computer or laptop) — even if it’s behind a firewall. Globus Connect can be installed and run as a user without requiring administrative privileges or dealing with the details of installing Globus or GridFTP.
